U.S. Marshals and State Police Arrest Fugitive from Justice in Bridgeport

Bridgeport, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Senior Trooper I. L. Bowman and Trooper E. L. Bowman were notified by the U.S. Marshal’s Service that a Fugitive from Justice was currently in the Bridgeport area.

A short time later, Robert A. Ross, 50, of Canton, Ohio, was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 68 in Bridgeport. Mr. Ross had an active Murder warrant out of the State of Ohio.

Mr. Ross is currently detained at North Central Regional Jail awaiting an extradition hearing.
