GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVDN) – On a very windy day, Lewisburg Lions watched over 50 golfers attempting a hole-in-one at four different greens. Despite the weather, the golfers enjoyed a good game and collected great prizes, including games at four area resorts. But, disappointingly, no one made a hole-in-one for the $ 5,000 grand prize.

The Luke Family Team was the winner of the tournament, with Eddie and Leigh Luke and their teammate, Brandon Woodzell, as top players. The Lewisburg Lions Club thanks all the sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who made this a successful day. All the proceeds from the tournament help purchase eye exams and eyeglasses, support two high school scholarships, and provide funds for 17 local charities.

Club officials said, “We are looking forward to next year; there is always a chance someone will win the Hole-in-One prize.”
