Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) — The West Virginia Division of Personnel, in collaboration with WorkForce West Virginia, is pleased to announce the 2026 Job Opportunity Expo. The event will begin at  9:00 a.m. on May 11 at the WorkForce West Virginia office in the Shops at Kanawha, located at 5707 MacCorkle Avenue SE, Charleston.

“The in-person career fair provides applicants the opportunity to meet one-on-one with agency representatives about specific state jobs and to better understand what is needed for each position,” said West Virginia Division of Personnel Director Sheryl Webb. “After the success of last year’s expo, we want to help even more West Virginians find meaningful public service career paths and learn about the many ways our state employees support their communities every day.”

The expo is designed to highlight the wide range of rewarding and impactful careers available within West Virginia state government. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with agency representatives, explore current job openings, learn about competitive state benefits, and gain insight into the many ways state employees support West Virginia communities.

The expo welcomes job seekers of all backgrounds—from entry level candidates to seasoned professionals—who are interested in stable, mission-driven careers. Staff will be available to assist with the application process and answer questions about state hiring, training, and advancement opportunities.

Don’t miss out on this chance to explore a career that makes a difference. The 2026 Job Opportunity Expo is your opportunity to discover how your skills can serve the people of West Virginia.
