LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Join Lewisburg in Bloom for WV Make It Shine Day as the community works together to spruce up downtown and show pride in the community.

Where to meet: In front of Lewisburg City Hall at 9:30 a.m. for a quick group photo, then they will break out into work groups assigned to sections of the downtown area.

What to bring (if you can): Comfortable shoes and water. Trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers will be provided, but if you have them, please bring brooms, trowels, and garden clippers in case they’re needed.

About WV Make It Shine

WV Make It Shine is a statewide volunteer cleanup and beautification program that encourages communities across West Virginia to come together for litter removal, planting, and improvement projects, helping keep our towns and public spaces clean, welcoming, and vibrant.

About Lewisburg in Bloom

Lewisburg in Bloom is a local community organization working with the City of Lewisburg, the Lewisburg Foundation, the local garden clubs, and community groups to focus on enhancing the appearance of our community through seasonal plantings, streetscape improvements, and volunteer-led projects that keep Lewisburg looking its best.

Questions? Contact Shannon Beatty at 540-968-2956.

Please text Shannon and let her know how many from your group plan to attend.

Organizers said, “We hope you’ll join us. Many hands make light work!”
