Mill Creek, WV (WVDN) — On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, Troopers from the Elkins Detachment responded to Back Road in Mill Creek after Randolph County 911 received a call from the suspect, April Dawn Kenney, 43, of Mill Creek, stating that she struck something with her vehicle.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered the victim, Amber Nicole Shreve, 38, of Beverly, had been struck by a vehicle and was deceased.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after a lengthy investigation by Troopers from the Elkins Detachment and the West Virginia State Police crash reconstruction team, Mrs. Kenney was arrested for Vehicular Homicide. Mrs. Kenney was taken to Tygart Valley Regional Jail and was later released on a $5,000 cash bond.
The victims’ next of kin have been notified.
