LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – “The Farmers Market of Lewisburg is gearing up for its 2026 season. Opening day is April 18, featuring a Ramp Festival theme, and continues the legacy established by a dedicated group of former Courthouse Farmers Market vendors. This vendor‐run, community‐focused marketplace operates separately from Montwell Commons, with a clear emphasis on long‐term sustainability, transparent leadership, and a collaborative approach that places farmers and small businesses at the heart of the experience,” says Ben Curry.
“Twenty‐nine vendors voted to form The Farmers Market of Lewisburg, reaffirming their commitment to keeping the market at the Robert C. Byrd Clinic location on Route 219 in Lewisburg, West Virginia, a site that vendors and customers alike have come to prefer. As the 2026 season approaches,” Curry notes, “the market remains dedicated to serving the community through a diverse lineup that includes local meat, eggs, baked goods, fresh produce, handmade crafts, and value‐added products from farmers, growers, bakers, and small businesses.”
“The market will operate every Saturday from April 18 through the end of October, inviting residents and visitors from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This schedule reflects the market’s commitment to consistency and accessibility,” Curry explains, “ensuring a reliable venue for local producers to connect with customers and for the community to access locally sourced goods.”
“Vendor applications are currently open, and organizers have already begun receiving interest from new vendors. Returning vendors are welcome, and both new and returning vendors are encouraged to apply to be part of the 2026 season. Interested vendors can request an application by emailing the Farmers Market of Lewisburg at thefarmersmarketoflewisburg@gmail.com,” Curry adds.
“As the market moves forward, it does so with a focus on long‐term sustainability and a vendor‐ and farmer‐centered approach that serves the broader community,” Curry states. “The Farmers Market of Lewisburg envisions a thriving, inclusive marketplace where local producers can build lasting relationships with customers, and shoppers benefit from direct access to fresh, high‐quality products.”
“Thank you for the continued support. The market looks forward to welcoming both longtime supporters and newcomers this spring as it returns to the Robert C. Byrd Clinic location for another season of local flavor, community connection, and small‐business, “Curry added.”
