LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce has named Village Caregiving’s Lewisburg office the “New Business of the Year,” marking a period of rapid expansion for the home-care provider since its debut in March 2025.
The award recognizes the agency’s role in addressing the growing demand for elder care in the Greenbrier Valley. In just over a year of operation, the Lewisburg branch has logged more than 61,000 hours of support for local seniors.
“From the moment we opened our doors back in March of 2025, the welcome we received here in Lewisburg and surrounding areas was immediate, enthusiastic and genuine,” noted Morgan Stover, Executive Director of the VCG Lewisburg office. “The people of Lewisburg allowed us to become part of this community, not just another business in it – and that means more to us than I can put into words.
Village Caregiving provides non-medical assistance designed to help seniors remain in their homes. Services range from essential daily tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, to personal care, including bathing and transportation to medical appointments.
The Lewisburg team currently employs more than 80 caregivers who serve a client base of over 100 residents. The company’s growth reflects a broader regional trend as local businesses move to fill gaps in the elder care healthcare system.
Based in Barboursville, Village Caregiving maintains 11 locations across West Virginia. Its national footprint has expanded to 70 offices in 20 states, employing 4,300 caregivers serving 5,500 clients.
Despite the company’s national scale, Stover emphasized that the impact remains deeply personal for the families in the Greenbrier Valley.
