UNION W.Va. (WVDN) – Monroe County Republicans welcomed a representative from the Greenbrier County Republican Party on Thursday, March 26, as they prepared for an upcoming Republican dinner scheduled for April 17.
“Numerous candidates and speakers will be invited to the dinner, and final details will be announced in the near future,” stated Duane Miller, Chairman of the Monroe County Republican Party Executive Committee.
During their meeting in Union, Monroe Republicans reviewed plans for the “2026 Republican Dinner” and discussed strategies for fundraising and voter outreach ahead of both primary and general elections.
Ben Anderson, Chairman of the Greenbrier County Republican Party, joined the Monroe Republicans to discuss priorities for the forthcoming elections. He emphasized that Independent voters will not be eligible to vote for Republican candidates in the May primary election.
Anderson further noted that Conservative Independents who wish to participate in the Republican primary should consider registering with the Republican Party.
