Albert Shacore Jones, 25, has been arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in the area of Westline Drive in Beckley.
On July 18, Jones allegedly shot a female in her lower body and fled the scene. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. After an extensive search conducted by multiple agencies, Jones could not be found.
According to information from those at the Beckley Police Department, Jones was taken into custody on July 26 by members of the US Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force.
He is currently being held in a Charlotte-Mecklenburg area jail pending an extradition hearing. He faces charges of malicious wounding, wanton endangerment and burglary.
