Chapmanville, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Friday, Feb. 20, troopers from the Logan and Boone County Detachments received a complaint of drug activity at a residence on Morning Glory Drive in Chapmanville. Troopers were also informed that individuals at the residence were being held against their will inside of the residence.
Shortly after receiving the complaint multiple troopers arrived at the residence and located Chad Williams, 49, of Chapmanville, inside of the residence. Further investigation found that Mr. Williams was holding multiple people against their will inside of the residence. Seized from the residence was a significant amount of suspected fentanyl, several firearms, and a large sum of U.S. Currency.
Rolland Reddick, 30, of Canton, Ohio, who was also at the residence, initially gave troopers false identification, was found to be a fugitive from justice and was taken into custody.
Mr. Williams was charged Parole Violations, Probation Violations, three counts of Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, and Unlawful Restraint. Mr. Reddick was charged with Fugitive from Justice, Obstructing, and False information to DPS
Both individuals were transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
