WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) —Greenbrier Valley community members are invited to take part in shaping the future of a proposed community wellness and activity center, currently referred to as the Greenbrier Valley Family Activity Center through a public survey available online at the link below or by visiting the website www.gvfamilyactivitycenter.org over the next two weeks.  For anyone who would prefer to complete a paper version of the survey, these may be picked up and returned to the White Sulphur Springs City Hall located at 589 Main Street West anytime between now and February 12, 2026.

While a community open house was also intended to be held in conjunction with the survey this upcoming weekend, this will be rescheduled for a later date likely in the spring when the winter weather is no longer likely to disrupt participation.

This survey marks a critical listening and visioning phase in the development of the center which held a groundbreaking event in November.    Before finalizing programming for the center, organizers want to hear directly from the people who will use it.  The survey has also been shared with multiple groups and organizations throughout the community who serve individuals from all ages.

“This center is meant to serve the real needs and hopes of our community,” said Anne Bowling on behalf of the volunteer Board for the Greenbrier Valley Family Activity Center.   “The only way to do that well is to listen first. This effort is about inviting everyone— families, working adults, kids and seniors—to help imagine what’s possible.”

“This is about more than a building,” added Bowling.  “It’s about creating a place of wellness, connection, learning, and belonging for generations to come.”

The survey may be completed online here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7XVN2S9 or by visiting www.gvfamilyactivitycenter.org. Between now and February 12th, paper versions of the survey may be picked up, completed and returned to White Sulphur Springs City Hall located at 589 Main Street West, White Sulphur Springs, WV which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
