Charleston, W.Va. (WVDN) – Governor Morrisey has issued a proclamation granting state employees a half-day off before Thanksgiving.
“In gratitude for the hard work and dedication from our state employees, it is fitting to provide them some additional time to spend with their families and loved ones,” said Governor Morrisey.
The order signed by Governor Morrisey excuses state employees for the second half of Wednesday, November 26, 2025, without charge against accrued annual leave. It does not affect private businesses, local governments, and other entities and individuals not employed by the State of West Virginia.
