RUPERT W.Va. (WVDN) — The Marvel Center will host its annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 24, from 6-8 p.m. at 138 Cranberry Avenue in Rupert. Families are invited to enjoy an evening filled with games, activities, and fun for all ages.

This year’s festival will feature the inaugural Chili Cook-Off, inviting community members to showcase their best recipes and compete for top honors. Guests can sample a variety of chilis and vote for their favorites, with proceeds benefiting The Marvel Center’s programs and services.

Admission to festival games and activities is by donation only, allowing everyone to participate. Donations may include monetary gifts or daycare essentials such as diapers, wipes, tissues, paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer.

Festival highlights include Trunk-or-Treat, a Scavenger Hunt, Face Painting, a Corn Bin, a Hayride, and more. Concessions, raffles, and Chili Cook-Off samples will also be available for purchase.

“Our goal is to bring the community together for an evening of fun while supporting the needs of the center,” said Sarah Bailes, Executive Director. “We’re especially excited to introduce the Chili Cook-Off as a new way for our community to connect and give back.”

Participants decorating trunks for Trunk-or-Treat are asked to keep decorations family-friendly and avoid gory or scary themes.

The Marvel Center will also be accepting applications for open enrollment during the event, offering families the opportunity to learn more about available childcare programs and services.

For more information about the event or how to participate in the Chili Cook-Off, Trunk-or-Treat, or as a vendor, please contact The Marvel Center at 681-262-2016 or visit https://bit.ly/marvelfallfest.
