Mary Esta Hinkle

Mary Esta Hinkle, 86, of Lewisburg, passed October 17, 2025, at Peyton Hospice House.

Mary was born on March 4, 1939, in Lewisburg and was the daughter of the late Ernest Ray and Ada Ethel Graves Hinkle.

Mary was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church and a retired desk manager in the Assessor’s Office for the Town of Lewisburg. She was a volunteer at Greenbrier Valley Hospital. Mary enjoyed bowling and participated in various church activities.

Other than her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, William (BJ) and his wife, Marsha, as well as her nephew, BJ II. She is survived by her nephew, Gordon, and his wife, Patti, along with several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mary will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Bev Colombo officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 1133 E Washington Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
