Greenbrier East pitcher, Caleb Thomas inked his signature onto his national letter of intent as he will head to Bluefield next year and play baseball for the Bluefield State Big Blues.
Bluefield State finished this past season at 15-12.
Thomas was the go-to pitcher for East this year. He logged 38.2 innings on the mound and allowed just 27 hits. He had an incredible ERA of 0.91 after allowing just five earned runs (21 unearned) all season. He struck out 54 batters and held all hitters to just a .184 average.
Thomas will face a few of his Spartan teammates in the coming years as BSU regularly faces Mid-Atlantic Christian (Zac Trump and Tanner Skidmore) and Glenville State (Jordan Mize).
Thomas will lace up his cleats for his freshman season in the spring of 2022.
