An alleged serial burglar has been arrested in Raleigh County.
On Wednesday, May 19, a West Virginia State Trooper was dispatched to a home in Colcord regarding a home burglary.
Upon arrival, the trooper noted that a set of french doors at the rear of the home appeared to have been kicked in. The victim stated that a Macbook Pro, five firearms, seven ultra mags, a Playstation 5, a 65” Samsung 4k television and over $1,000 in tools were missing from the home.
During the investigation, the trooper discovered that Harlon Sherman Toler, 42, of Dorothy, had been selling the stolen goods to those around town, the complaint states.
“Toler has prior grand larceny convictions and has been allegedly breaking into homes throughout Colcord for some time now,” the complaint continues.
Toler is being charged on one felony charge of burglary, one felony count of grand larceny and one felony count of receiving or transferring stolen goods.
He is currently at Southern Regional Jail. A cash/surety bail has been set at $30,000.
