RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) – The Ellis Haunted Mansion fundraiser event opened Friday, Oct. 3, with proceeds benefiting the Ellis House restoration project located at 126 Pocahontas Avenue in Ronceverte, after being closed for more than 26 years.
The event will run the next three weekends in October, on Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 p.m., inviting guests to experience suspense, excitement, the Ellis sisters’ story and sinister spirits, and hair-raising attractions. With live actors, ready to give you chills, this is a community-backed effort to restore this important local landmark.
The admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children. They also have Halloween-themed baked goods and hot chocolate for sale. Every dollar helps to fund the renovations and preserves the house’s legacy for future generations.
“Our first weekend was unbelievable,” Felicity Morgan and Abby Smith said. “We’re grateful for every visitor and every moment of support. We have the best group of scare actors.”
Proceeds from the fundraiser go toward building repairs and the ongoing restoration work. Volunteers and donations are still needed for the success of the Haunted Mansion fundraiser.
