A Rainelle man is now at Southern Regional Jail facing drug charges out of Fayette County.
Terry Wayne Patterson Jr., 29, was arrested and charged over Memorial Day weekend with possession with intent to deliver narcotics and being a prohibited person in possession of firearms, according to Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley.
Fridley stated in a social media post that a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction on US Route 19 in Fayetteville. After a positive indication by a Sheriff’s Department K-9, a search was conducted. A small amount of methamphetamine and a loaded firearm were initially found. Afterwards, 107 klonopin pills concealed on the suspect’s person were found. It was also established that the subject is a convicted felon.
A surety/cash bond has been set at $25,000. Patterson is currently awaiting court proceedings.
