The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office needs help.
Around 6 in the morning of June 1, a vehicle crash occurred on Route 219 near Charley Ballard Road.
This crash was caused by either a gray or silver Nissan or Toyota car possibly made in the 90s, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. “This vehicle was traveling south on Route 219 and started to pass several vehicles while traffic was traveling northbound. A vehicle had to slam on its brakes that was traveling south so the one that was passing could get back in the southbound lane. When this happened the vehicle behind it rear-ended that vehicle. A van traveling northbound had to swerve into the southbound lane to avoid a head-on crash with this vehicle.”
Several vehicles were involved in this incident including a semi-truck, the jeep that was hit from the rear by a Nissan, the van traveling northbound, and a Dodge truck.
“This incident was all caused by the silver or gray Nissan or Toyota car,” the MCSO notes. It has been reported “by witnesses that this vehicle did come from the Willow Bend Road onto Route 219.”
