LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Carnegie Hall is pleased to announce that Kyle and Ann Fort will be honored at the An Old Hollywood Gala: A Night of Glitz and Glamour, as the popular annual fundraiser returns. The event will take place Saturday, August 23, at 6 p.m. in Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier. Tickets are $250 per person, and tables for 10 are available for $2,500.
Though not West Virginians by birth, Ann and Kyle Fort proudly chose to make this state their home in 1983 — and have been deeply engaged in enriching its communities ever since.
From the moment they arrived, Ann and Kyle immersed themselves in volunteerism, lending their leadership to numerous nonprofit boards and championing fundraising efforts across the region. Their enduring commitment to New River Community and Technical College earned national recognition in 2008, when the Council for Resource
Development named them “Benefactors of the Year.” Today, their legacy is etched into the landscape — quite literally — with New River’s Lewisburg campus building bearing their name, just steps from Carnegie Hall.
Carnegie Hall, like New River, has been fortunate to benefit from the Forts’ generosity, vision, and steadfast belief in the power of education and the arts. Their support has helped to weave a richer, more vibrant cultural fabric throughout the Greenbrier Valley and beyond.
In honor of their decades of meaningful service and their embodiment of our mission to Bring the Arts to Life, the Carnegie Hall Board of Directors is proud to name Ann and Kyle Fort as the 2025 Gala Honorees.
