CHARLESTON W.Va. (WVDN) – Governor Patrick Morrisey released the following statement in response to the 4th Circuit’s decision in GenBioPro v. Morrisey:
“Big win out of the 4th Circuit today,” said Governor Morrisey. “I defended this law as Attorney General and am proud to see a victory in this case. West Virginia can continue to enforce our pro-life laws and lead the nation in our efforts to protect life. We will always be a pro-life state!”
The case challenged West Virginia’s ban on abortion medication. The law banning the medication was upheld at the District Court and affirmed by the 4th Circuit. Read the decision here.
