LEWISBURG, W.Va. — The City of Lewisburg has recently installed a new wayfinding kiosk in its downtown area, positioned outside City Hall on Washington Street. The new guide aims to enhance visitor and resident navigation by providing information on local attractions, businesses and services.
City Manager Misty Hill announced the impending installation at a recent City Council meeting, with the kiosk being delivered the following day. The project involved extensive planning, with the design being reviewed by various committees, including the Planning Commission and Historical Society, after public meetings held as far back as 2022. The final design received approval last fall.
The kiosk is designed to help individuals locate places to dine, shop and stay, as well as historical sites, public parking lots, restrooms and other amenities. It will particularly assist in highlighting businesses located off the main thoroughfare of Washington Street.
