SINKS GROVE, W.Va. (WVDN) — If you’re looking for fun, join us at the Hunkerdown for live music, delicious food and a wonderful community gathering of musicians and friends.
Doors open at 4 p.m. for dinner, and the jam session runs from 5 to 7 p.m. As always, this event is free and open to the public.
“Jammin’ at the Hunkerdown” is all about community and music — everything from old-time, Celtic, country, Appalachian and traditional, to mountain music, ballads, bluegrass, blues, gospel and originals. Organizers request that only acoustic instruments be used.
If you play an instrument or sing, grab a chair in the music circle. If you prefer to listen, a seat will be available for you, too.
The Hunkerdown always offers something “yummy” for dinner at the jams, along with assorted baked goods and signature coffee drinks. In June, Chef Tammy will serve BBQ pork and BBQ chicken sandwiches with a side of potato salad. She’ll also have hand pies, cookies and a selection of summer drinks.
The Hunkerdown is at 110 Fort Springs Road in Sinks Grove. For more information, contact Cheryl Mansley at cherylmansley@gmail.com or 304-702-0554, or visit ArtBeat of the Mountains on Facebook.
