CHARLESTON- The Greenbrier East Spartan boys and girls track teams went to Laidley Field in Charleston on Saturday and competed in the highly competitive Black Eagle Invite.

At the conclusion of the event, the Spartan girls brought home a first-place finish with a score of 91, and the boys got inside the top 10 at no. 7 with a score of 41.

Annie Whited continued to dominate in her events. After shattering a 35-year-old school record a couple weekends ago in the 200-meters, she broke a 39-year-old record in the 100-meters in this one. On top of that, she ran the exact same time in the 200-meters as she did when she made history and now holds the top two spots in school history. Avery Thompson, Neena and Noelle McClintic, Nate Suttle, Robby White, and Will Godby all placed high in their respective events.
