DEHAVEN
Noel Parrish DeHaven, 46, passed away at home on April 6, 2021. Noel was born at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.
He attended school in Williamsburg, WV and was a graduate of Greenbrier East High School. He graduated from Marshall University with a BA in psychology while on scholarship for cross country and track. He then attended West Virginia University, where he earned his MBA, BS in accounting, and law degree and coached the men’s crew team.
Noel was active in the community and was a member of the church council and finance committee at Lewisburg United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Ronceverte Lions Club. He was a 4-H All Star and a member of the 4-H Foundation. His passion was coaching, and he coached Lions Club basketball, as well as Greenbrier United soccer. In fall of 2020, he was assistant coach to a very successful EGMS cross country team, and he was currently assistant coach to the Greenbrier East track team. Additionally, Noel worked hard for his clients as an accountant at the firm, Hess Stewart and Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie, and their four children, Ruby Noel, Josiah August, Tripp Freeman, and Abel Brant; his mother, Terri Johnson (Gary); his father, Jim DeHaven (Jan); and his brothers, David Johnson and Tyler DeHaven.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Brant DeHaven.
Services will be held at Lewisburg United Methodist Church on Friday, April 9, 2021, with visitation from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and the funeral to follow directly.
