FRANKFORD W.Va. (WVDN) – Every year, Frankford Elementary School students collect canned food items in honor of the 100th day of school. Each class is challenged to collect at least 100 items. Out of 15 classes, 13 of them met this goal. The winning class this year was Mrs. Quick’s second-grade class. Her students brought in 532 items! Together, the school collected 2,967 items. These items will be split between the Greenbrier Community Services, Williamsburg Food Bank and the Northern Greenbrier Food Pantry. School officials said, “Thank you to everyone who donated items for this event.”
