The Lewisburg, Meadow River and White Sulphur Springs Rotary Clubs have distributed student dictionaries to all 316 third grade students in the nine elementary schools in Greenbrier County.
The clubs are happy to continue this community service project to ensure students will be able to enjoy the benefits of owning a dictionary. The Rotary clubs believe they cannot do their best work without one.
This project makes it possible for students to receive a dictionary for their own personal use, that they will be able to use for a lifetime. For some of the children, this is the first book that they have owned. Over the past several years the Rotary clubs have distributed 4,872 dictionaries to the students of Greenbrier County.
