GVEDC Successfully Transfers Property to M-Rock, INC.



Peterstown, W.Va. — The Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation (GVEDC) successfully transferred a 30,000-square-foot commercial building and 2.985 acres to M-Rock, Inc. at the Fountain Springs Industrial Park in Monroe County.

This marks the completion of a 15-year agreement between M-Rock and GVEDC.

Matthew Mann Owner of M-Rock stated, “M-Rock would like to thank the Greenbrier Valley Economic Corporation and all other West Virginia organizations that have been a part of the M-Rock success over the last 20 years: including the West Virginia EDA, The Natural Capital Resource Fund, United Bank, the USEDA, and many others that have been a part of the M-Rock property and business. We will be celebrating the transfer of ownership of the M-Rock property from the GVEDC to M-Rock on April 16th at the M-Rock facility and look forward to thanking in person all those who have helped us along the way. Ownership of the building and property is an important financial milestone for M-Rock and will assure the success of this company for many years to come. We look forward to providing jobs and producing innovative products that are now moving nationwide, into Canada, and South America for many more years, here, in beautiful Monroe County, WV.”

Chase McClung, economic development manager for GVEDC stated “M-Rock is an asset to the Greenbrier Valley, and Monroe County. We look forward to continuing to work with M-Rock, and the businesses in Monroe County to create as many jobs and opportunities as possible.”

GVEDC thanked its partners that made this project a reality including the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council, U.S. Economic Development Administration, USDA Rural Development, W.V. Economic Development Authority, and WVDOH.

All these partners provided crucial funding to construct the building and develop the Fountain Springs Industrial Park. GVEDC thanked its current and past board of directors for supporting this initiative as well as all past directors.

M-Rock is a stone manufacturing company making specialized stone structures and features for homes and businesses.
