The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are holding their first annual Greenbrier Valley Restaurant Week. The event will run from April 19 to April 24.
The goal is to highlight the “diverse culinary scene” in Greenbrier County.
Ashley Vickers, Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce executive director said, “We just wanted to be able to highlight and showcase our members and the unique cuisine we have here.”
All participating restaurants will offer a special fixed menu at a discounted price during the six-day event. The list of participating restaurants includes The Bier Patch Bar and Grill, Stardust Cafe, The Humble Tomato, Hill and Holler, The Asylum, Road Hog’s BBQ, The Livery Tavern, Biergarten, Del Sol Cantina, The French Goat, The General Lewis Inn and Fruits of Labor.
Menus and a full list of the participating restaurants and their phone numbers are available at www.greenbrierwvchamber.org/events. Menus will be posted as they become available from each restaurant.
As of March 24, there is one menu available and it is from Sam Snead’s at the Golf Club — The Greenbrier Hotel.
Once a menu has been posted, anyone interested in reservations for dining-in at that particular restaurant must contact the restaurant directly.
As a note, not all participants offer reservations. Some will be dine-in only, some will have dine-in and take-out and some may be take-out only.
In terms of safety protocols, Vickers said, “One of the beauties about the participating restaurants is great outdoor seating.”
She went on to say that many of the restaurants would be offering take-out orders and that masks would be required while inside of the establishment.
The newest participating restaurant is Biergarten, which will be opening in April. According to the “about” section on their website, they have taken inspiration from “the German beer gardens of Berlin and Bavaria.”
It goes on to say that Briergarten was created with the intention to provide a fun atmosphere.
Vickers said, “We’re excited and we hope that our restaurants will benefit, but also everybody in Greenbrier County will see a boost in the economy during this week.”
