Sterling Brice Coffman, 98, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV.
Born on August 6, 1921, in Ronceverte, he was a son of Tilden and Mary Florence Perkins Coffman.
Sterling was a country gentleman and a member of the McLean Presbyterian Church. He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran. Sterling was a loving, caring husband, and a strong and gentle father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances McGrady Coffman on February 26, 2005; and several siblings.
He is survived by daughters, Clara Lee Coffman Worley (Wes) of Covington, VA, and Mary Elizabeth Coffman Baker (Nathan) of Nashville, TN; and his canine companion, Shadow.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Carl Pattison officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Organ Cave, WV, by the VFW.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.
