Jerry L. Trigg, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, following a long illness.
Born on August 1, 1948, in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of William T. Trigg and Lillie J. Dunlap Woods.
Jerry loved life, Bethesda Church, and talking to anyone who would listen. He had many close friends and family that he cherished. He was employed by Davis Stuart Inc. for 36 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maude T. Dunlap; and an uncle, Billy Dunlap.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Linda M. Jones Trigg; daughter, Myra Davis (Reggie) of Roanoke; sons, Chad Jones (Pam) of Roanoke and Pastor Aaron Trigg (Diana) of Rainelle, WV; foster son, Marvin Skyles (Denise) of Charleston, WV; aunt, Justine Noll of Union, WV; uncle, Robert Dunlap (Paulette) of Heath, OH; grandchildren, Alex and Chad Jones Jr., Chyna Jones, Rjai Davis, and Malachi Davis; and many cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901, with his son, Pastor Aaron Trigg, and Pastor Chad Dingess officiating.
Family will receive friends from noon until time of the service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow the service.
The family requests that no flowers be purchased since he will be cremated.
