The House of Delegates Committee on the Judiciary met on Monday, January 27, ahead of the House floor session to discuss a bill that would change the way legal ads – like those run in this paper, along with other daily newspapers and qualified weeklies – are posted to the public.
House Bill 4025, “Creating a State Central Legal Advertising Website,” seeks to do just that, hosting legal ads from across the state on a single website that residents can access at any time. While the idea certainly bears potential benefits, the bill sparked plenty of questions in yesterday’s committee meeting.
