In the late hours of Thursday, January 23, 2020, Dr. Michael Andrew Brumfield of Frankford, WV, went to be with the Lord at the age of 74.
Michael was born to Millard Otis and Melita Alice Snair Brumfield on October 11, 1945, at the Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in 1970 and went on to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1973. That same year, Michael moved to Greenbrier County, WV, and established his chiropractic practice, where he served the community for 47 years.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother, Dr. James Otis Brumfield; and one son, Christian Andrew Brumfield.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jane Fleshman Brumfield; three children; two stepchildren; and 13 grandchildren. His surviving children include sons, Christopher Brian Brumfield (Chelsie), and children, Aiden, Oliver, and Grayson; and Jonathan Andrew Brumfield (Susan), and children, Lauren, Christian, Albert, Jackson, and Nicholas; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Dick (James), and children, Asa, Elijah, Jonas, and Ezra; stepson, Michael Houston Bennett (Cassy) and son, Nicholas “Cole;” and stepdaughter, Stephanie Cristina Fleshman.
A celebration of life for Mr. Brumfield will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Rhema Christian Center in Fairlea, WV.
