The Greenbrier Valley Mall changed hands twice in the past week after Greenbrier Valley Mall LLC sold the property.
According to two special warranty deeds, the mall changed hands – first from Greenbrier Valley Mall LLC to Lancaster Holdings for $2,730,000, then from Lancaster Holdings LLC to Greenbrier Valley Holdings LLC for $3,480,000. Both Lancaster Holdings and Greenbrier Valley Holdings are registered as businesses in Delware.
An attempt by The West Virginia Daily News to reach Greenbrier Valley Holdings LLC through a phone number on file with the Delware Secretary of State resulted in reaching their registered agent, Harvard Business Services Inc., rather than the business’s owner.
According to mall manager Larry Patton, the mall will continue to operate in the immediate future as it has under the old ownership.
“Yes, the mall did sell, but we’re in the transition phase of the sale,” explained Patton. “So at this point, nothing changes.”
A conference with the new owners is expected in the next couple of weeks, according to Patton, when any potential changes, if any, would be coming to the mall.
