DUNMORE- Greenbrier West hit the road this past Friday night, Sept. 20 and came home with a convincing 37-0 victory over the Pocahontas County Warriors.
Brandon Poticher stepped up in an injury-plagued game and ran nine times for 131 yards and a score, including a 60-yarder for the games first points.
Freshman Ben Butler scored his first career touchdown later in the first on a 2-yard run and West led 14-0 at that point. The Cavs closed out the first half scoring with Evan Vandall crossing the goal line on a 20-yard run as Greenbrier West led 21-0 at the break.
Vandall picked right up in the third quarter where he finished when scored another touchdown run, this one from five yards away.
West added a safety, and a 50-yard interception return for a score from Kamden Sams to close out the scoring.
Vandall had 138 total yards and the two TDs.
The Cavaliers racked up 312 yards to the Warriors 148.
Greenbrier West will host the Man Hillbillies this Friday night, Sept. 27 at Cavalier Field in Charmco.
