Juanita Canterbury, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at The Brier.
She was born on July 26, 1934, in Greenbrier County, WV, to the late Charles Alex and Lillian Emma Persinger Brooks.
Juanita worked at Appalachian Electronics in Fairlea, WV, until her retirement. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, as well as a great quilter and seamstress. She was a member of the Ketron Homemakers Club and the church choir at Lewisburg Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Canterbury; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a sister, Wanda Bradley of Alderson, WV; three daughters, Catherine Wilson (Stephen), Carol Sue Wass-Kelley (Shaun), and Cheryl Canterbury; and six grandchildren, Kristen Kite (Matt), Jay Taylor (Samantha), Casandra Taylor, Adrienne Schwartz (Matt), Meara Kelley, and Jordon Hoke. She also has seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive Lewisburg, WV 24901. Pastor Mike Teubert will be officiating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, from 6-8 p.m.
