LOGAN W.Va. (WVDN) — Chief Logan State Park is set to be the site of one of just 17 exhilarating outdoor adventures as it hosts Built Wild® Days, a national event presented by America’s State Parks and the Bronco Wild Fund by Ford. The National Ford Marketing team selected this area with the assistance of the Wally Thornhill Auto Group. The event will occur on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the basecamp located at Shelter 7.

Built Wild® Days offer a unique opportunity to explore the great outdoors and experience a day filled with free, family-friendly activities. Attendees will discover the exciting initiatives of the Bronco Wild Fund, which is dedicated to increasing access, stewardship and preservation of our public lands. Activities at Chief Logan State Park will vary, offering something for everyone, including picnicking, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, hiking and more.

“Adventure awaits at Chief Logan State Park during Built Wild® Days,” said Acting WV State Parks Chief Dillard Price. “This is a perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and learn about the important work being done by the Bronco Wild Fund to preserve our public lands for future generations.”

During the event, Smokey Bear will be present for a meet-and-greet, along with a fire safety demonstration. The pool’s snack shack will be open, offering a variety of refreshments including pepperoni rolls, nachos, chips, candy, and beverages. A limited number of complimentary pepperoni rolls will be available for guests who arrive at the start.

Bronco Wild Fund, a Ford Motor Company program, works with esteemed collaborators like America’s State Parks to build a legacy of access, preservation and stewardship. The event at Chief Logan State Park is one of 17 across the country, all aimed at responsibly connecting people to the outdoors.
