Phyllis Marie Dowdy Miller, 61, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House, following an extended battle with cancer.
Born on August 27, 1958, in Union, WV, she was the daughter of Glenn Richmond and Marie Belle Boggs Dowdy.
Phyllis was employed at Greenbrier Technical Services in Ronceverte, WV, and attended Bethesda Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Eric Lee Taylor.
Survivors include her loving husband of 26 years, Danny Miller; stepson, Daniel Todd Miller of Covington, VA; brothers, Lewis Richmond Dowdy (Connie) of Hopewell, VA, and Jeff Dowdy (Michele) of Ronceverte; sisters, Donna Dowdy Trent (Buddy) of Ronceverte and Gail Evans of Gap Mills, WV; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow at the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Organ Cave, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at the funeral home.
