RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – Firefighters are battling a structure fire that broke out earlier today in Rainelle. The blaze has consumed a shop owned by Pete Lewis, who confirmed in an interview that the building and its contents are a total loss.
“Everybody’s fine, there wasn’t anybody in the shop,” Lewis said. However, he noted that one of his large trucks, two motorcycles, a boat a lawnmower, approximately $100,000 worth of tools and another $100,000 worth of truck parts were destroyed in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and emergency crews are still working to bring the flames under control. No injuries have been reported, and there is no immediate risk to nearby buildings.
This is a developing story. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
