On Friday, November 29, 2019, Geneva Ann Lafon Propps, 77, of Lewisburg, WV, saw much rejoicing in Heaven when she joined the love of her life, Vernon Propps; along with her parents, Mary Alice and Jesse Lafon; her sisters, Catherine Burns and Drema Jones; her brother, Wesley Lafon; and her infant son, Russell.
She was so anxious to see her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and took every opportunity she was afforded to share of his goodness.
Those remaining to celebrate her life and mourn her loss include her daughter and son-in law, Ruth and Alan Patterson of Alderson, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Marie Propps of Ronceverte, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mandy Propps of Sidney, OH; and five grandchildren, Marissa Propps of Sidney, Andrew Propps (Kira) of Piqua, OH, Summer Rae Propps of Ronceverte, Adam Propps of Sidney, and Hannah Patterson of Alderson. She also has two great-grandsons, Noah and Grayson; brothers, Carl Lafon (Brenda) of Baltimore, MD, Gene Lafon (Faye) of Baltimore, and Johnny Mansfield of Pulaski, VA; sister, Patricia Meyers of Pulaski; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her very much.
Her celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the River of Life church in Alderson, with her son, Ray Propps, and Pastor Anthony Carter officiating.
Friends and family may come for visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with her final services beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be with her beloved Buddy will be at the Rosewood Cemetery.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
