L. Marshall Dalton, 85, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 25, 1934, in Eagle Rock, VA, he was the son of Lee and Emma Young Dalton.
Marshall attended the Ronceverte Baptist Church. He was a car enthusiast and loved to talk to anyone about them. Marshall above all loved spending time with his family. He was retired from Greenbrier County Schools as a bus driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Dolin, Adeline Hamrick, and Princess Tyer; brothers, Estel and Myles Dalton; and a halfbrother, Lloyd Dalton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Morgan Dalton; sons, Todd Dalton (Liz) of Roanoke, and Jeff Dalton (Sallie) of St. Johns Island, SC; daughter, Debbie Long (Tom) of Ronceverte, grandchildren, Autumn Waid (James), Meredith Whited, Caitlin White (Dan), Anne Floyd (Russell), Allison Delp (Chad), Alec Dalton, and Sarah Dalton; and great-grandchildren, Emma Grant, Zion Detko, Evie Waid, Annie Whited, Cora Whited, Caden White, Bretton Floyd, and Eathan Floyd.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Ronceverte Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Howdock and Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the McLean Cemetery in Ronceverte.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday, at the church.
