Zelinda Kay (Allen) Dixon passed away from this world on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Zelinda was born on September 21, 1951, in Fort Knox, KY, and grew up in Fairlea, WV. She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Ruth (Thompson) Allen.
Zelinda was a caring and giving person who helped many throughout her life. She retired from FirstEnergy Corp/MonPower with over 30 years of service, and was also a real estate agent for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only sibling, her beloved brother, Ronnie.
Beloved by all who knew her, she is survived by her loving husband, J.R. Dixon; and three sons, Ben (Delilah) of Caldwell, WV, and Matt and J.J., both of Lewisburg, WV.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor Johnathan Turner officiating. Burial will be at the Rosewood Cemetery.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
