It was a chilly, but exciting night in Fairlea on Friday, November 15, when the Greenbrier East Spartans battled the Spring Mills Cardinals in the first round of the state playoffs.
This late in the season, anything can be the difference between a win or loss, and when the Spartans had an extra point blocked it proved to be a big difference. East lost the game 28-27 and watched their magical football season come to a heartbreaking end.
