Guy Walter “Tom” Livesay Sr., 86, of Frankford, WV, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House.
Born on July 15, 1933, in Frankford, he was the son of James Guy and Grace Burgess Livesay.
Tom was a graduate of Frankford High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved football. He was a U.S. Army Korean war veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha Virginia Harrison Livesay in 2015; brother, Keith Livesay; sister, Mildred King; and brother-in-law, Oscar King.
Survivors include three children, Guy Walter Livesay Jr. (Robin) of Williamston, NC, Judy Poage (Andrew), and Libby Hanna (Dennis), all of Frankford; grandchildren, Derrick Poage (Kayla), Chad Poage (Jenny), James Livesay (Candie), Courtney Gotch (Ben), Sarah Kidd (Joel), Julie Hanna, Luke Agee (Erica), and Isaiah Hanna (Ashley); 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service for Mr. and Mrs. Livesay will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901, with Pastor Emory Hanna and Luke Agee officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Frankford Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
