Dorothy Jane Holley Vaughn, 87, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Thursday morning, October 17, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Dorothy was born on April 17, 1932, in Alvon, WV, and was the daughter of Ross P. and Rose L. Kennedy Holley.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Greenbrier Valley Baptist Church.
Preceding Mrs. Vaughn in death other than her parents, were her husband, George P. Vaughn (April 5, 2019); her sister, Betty Anderson; and her brother, Lawrence “Jr.” Holley.
Surviving are her son, Gregory Vaughn (Linda Bostic Vaughn) of Ronceverte, WV; granddaughter, Bridgette Vaughn King (Shawn) of Ashland, KY; great-grandchildren, Elijah King of Houston, TX, Isaiah King of Los Angeles, CA, and Noah King of Ashland; sister, Mary Bittinger of White Sulphur Springs; brother, Charles Holley of Alvon; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Vaughn on Monday, October 21, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs, with Pastor Gordon Ross officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.
