Marshall Earl Spinks Sr., 86, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the Beckley ARH.
Born on October 25, 1932, in Greenbrier County, WV, he was the son of Frank Thomas and Bertie Jane Grogg Spinks.
Mr. Spinks was a U.S. Air Force, Korean war veteran. He was a member of the Alvon United Methodist Church, American Legion, and UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Casto Spinks; sons, Tommy and Marshall Spinks Jr.; grandsons, Eric, Nathan, and Jason Spinks, and Chucky Clendenin; brothers, Orie, Vernard, Guy, Ottie, and Owen Spinks; sisters, Ada White and Reva Dameron; and an infant brother.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Spinks Webber (Sammy) of White Sulphur Springs; daughter-in-law, Connie Spinks of Wardensville, WV; grandchildren, Wesley Webber, Travis Webber (Jennifer), LeeAnn Trent (Chad), Beth Jones (Terry) and family, and L.C. Clendenin and family; great-grandchildren, Carleigh Webber and Yaira Trent; sisters, Violet Cole of Lexington, KY, and Loie Seldomridge (Carl) of Ronceverte, WV; two very special friends, Lisa Williams and Kristine Sharp; several much loved nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Alvon United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Buck Caldwell and Pastor Bob McClintic officiating. Burial will follow in the Alvon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the church.
