Doris Jean Dudley, 83, of Fairlea, WV, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born on May 2, 1936, in Fairlea, she was the daughter of Lammer Thomas and Wilma Stokes Marlow Walton.
Jean was a member of the Lewisburg Church of Christ. She was always very happy. Jean loved spending time with her family, going to church, and outings with her “Buds.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Aubrey Lee Dudley; brother, Hershel Anderson; and sister, Elizabeth Forren.
Survivors include her two daughters, Vickie Bramble (Stephen) and Nancy Price (John), all of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Scott Asbury (Tameran), Jerri Ann Brooks, Benjamin Asbury (Amanda) and Brandy Knighting (Roy); great-grandchildren, Ella, Ethan, and Kaeley Asbury, Wyatt and Tucker Brooks, Audra and Evelyn Asbury, and Jacob and Christina Williams; and a great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Coles.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901, with Pastor Bill Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019, at the funeral home.
