Charles A. Hylton, 71, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, from complications of heart disease and diabetes.
Charlie was born on December 15, 1947, in Ronceverte, to Charles (Clayton) and Ramah Ufa Hinkle Hylton.
He was retired from Mead-Westvaco in Covington, VA, with 43 years of service, and was a proud veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. Charlie was a member of the VFW, and loved being involved in Civil War reenactments.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Christina; and his brother, Douglas.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; daughter, Julie of Lewisburg, WV; grandson, Nathan Chevalier of Staunton, VA; sisters, Cheryl Ramsey of Ronceverte and Pamela Massey of Fort Spring, WV; brother, Denzil of North Carolina; niece, Angela Surbaugh (David Alderman); nephew, Evan Massey; and great-niece, Lauren Surbaugh.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, September 30, 2019, at noon with Pastor Roger McDaniel officiating, at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
