Phyllis Jean Freeman Persinger, 87, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the LewisGale Allegheny Regional Hospital in Low Moor, VA.
She was born on September 22, 1931, in Caldwell, WV, and was the daughter of William Shelby and Vera Bennett Freeman.
Phyllis was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and was retired from the photography shop at The Greenbrier hotel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Persinger was preceded in death by her husband, George “Perk” Persinger; sister, Sally Surber; and her brother, William Freeman.
Surviving are her children, Lynne Persinger (Jeff McKinney) of Bluffton, SC, and Debra Davis (Wes) of Brevard, NC; granddaughter, Meghan Davis of Charleston, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Phyllis’ wishes, she will be cremated with no services scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to the Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, P O Box 926, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
