DELBARTON W.Va. (WVDN) – The West Virginia State Police responded to a report of a stabbing early this morning. One man was taken to the hospital where he was surgically treated for his injuries. WVSP released the following statement:
“Early on this date, Tpr. C.K. Johnson responded to Upper Bias near Delbarton in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, Tpr. C.K. Johnson discovered the victim, identified as 33 year old Kenneth Ooten of Delbarton and the suspect, identified as 25 year old Aaron Mahon of Delbarton had been involved in a physical altercation. During the altercation, Aaron Mahon cut the victim’s neck with a knife. Kenneth Ooten was transported by helicopter to Cabell Huntington Hospital and surgically treated for his injuries. Aaron Mahon has been charged with Attempted Murder and remanded to the Southwestern Regional Jail. This investigation is active and ongoing.”
